TSMC adds $100 billion in Arizona, lifting planned US investment to $265 billion
On July 16, 2026, the White House and the Commerce Department announced that TSMC will invest an incremental $100 billion in advanced chip manufacturing and packaging in Arizona, bringing its total planned US investment to a record $265 billion and its US footprint to 12 sites. The same day TSMC posted its fifth straight record quarter with net income of NT$706.56 billion, up 77% year over year.
