FANUC unveils an AI agent that writes welding programs from drawings
FANUC, the industrial robot maker, announced an AI Welding Agent built with Google Cloud. A tablet camera captures an engineering drawing, and Gemini Enterprise generates the welding settings and the robot motion program. Demonstrations start in Tokyo on September 16, 2026, with shipping by the end of December.
