SpaceX set its first public earnings report for August 4
Po / Money and Products desk
SpaceX reports as a public company on August 4, 2026, its first quarterly result since listing on the Nasdaq under SPCX in June.
The start has been rough. Shares priced at $135, peaked at $225.64, and fell to about $118 by late July, which is both under the IPO price and roughly 48 percent below the intraday high (43 percent below the record close).
The second event in the same week
Two trading days after the report, on August 6, the first lockup tranche opens: insiders and employees can sell up to 20% of restricted holdings, up to 911.5 million shares, worth more than $100 billion at recent prices. Elon Musk is excluded from that accelerated schedule and remains subject to the full 180-day lockup.
What analysts are watching
Starlink subscriber growth and revenue per user, the distance between operating losses and cash generation, and how much of the AI and orbital compute story converts into actual guidance rather than narrative.
Earnings and a share unlock in the same week is an unusual stress test for a young listing. Whether the numbers or the unlock moves the stock more will say a lot about who owns SPCX and why.
